Correct, as to repercussions IF MAN does not use WISDOM, natures payback will always trump their "advances", in particular as to extreme levels of physical injury as with aGW or after the 3rd human generation of trying to overtake nature, payback then is via our genes.

Here a hint as to how and it uses my knowledge of influencing nature via tests for almost 50 yrs, some of those tears i thought i was going to croaks in getting ill from my tests but i always made sure i did not pass into danger zones, those i described and posted photos of marks on my body at two blog sites [wunderground now in the hands of weather ch. and cat6 at yale within DR. Masters blog)  due to tests i'd do on a device i called ml-d.

If i may inject my 50 yrs of experience, man can influence nature** once they discover the paternal dimension of the two parental dimension.
The known dimension is the maternal dimension  humans call mother nature, science calls the laws of physics.
The Paternal dimension/its laws I've called Etherics (Galacsics from 1990s-2018) for over 45 yrs. It contains triggers that man can use to influence all from reversing diseases, to influencing nature to "time-twisting" [how time travel works], yet is very dangerous to the point that it would be suicidal if used as a weapon as it can tilt a complex planet as earth nine degrees within 2 weeks if used polar wise of the tropic lines (this means the user lets say a dictator in using it over their nation's hemisphere on another country destroys their nation too and others on that side of the hemispheres as the forces generated [forms of plasma transferred from edge of space towards / thru deep earth, don't look it up modern science knows not of this so i could be 99% or its not yet figured out by official science leads to a tilt that is centered by that hemisphere though the entire planet will experience its affects its mainly onto that hemisphere]). If used within the tropics lines (Cancer/Capricorn)the tilt can reach 15 degrees in under a month, all above the seas will be vanished, unless one can construct something than can hold up to such forces to ride 200-300 foot waves that crash into other such waves circumventing the earth onto each other at 200mph to almost the slow speeds of sound (~360mph).
*The asterisk is as to man choosing to control or influence weather if they learn how to use taping into etherics to influence physics. 
My wish was to show/teach scientist how to in an over thirty years span, as it takes no less that two thirds of what i call a sun phase [not the scientist terms which encompass many historical meanings from many nations for hundreds of years] as to me four sun cycles create a sun phase thus a sun phase can be as short as 39 years or as long as 48 yrs, i take the midpoint of that range which is 44 yrs and then multiply it by .666 which equals 29.304 yrs i push to 30 yrs. i gave up in trying to share such info in 2018ish as i'm too old to last 30 more years from 2018 (left my regular style of posting as a fan of science/weather at cat6 of yale blogs, as was just a stranger "vis0" posting comments not a member, left permanently last year) and did not want to leave such a dangerous level of science in others hands.
This is the science i speak of that if used with respect of nature can one day bring humanity over 60% of its power grid needs by bending the Jet stream into wind streams that are then feed into horizontal turbines atop tall structures [at 8 hrs a day, that's to respect nature her storms and her beloved creatures] that can be even TOR 5 resistant (clue , they can be allowed to spin and have counter corking designs to not be destroyed, and also includes disconnecting at its base all grids before a TOR over runs such structures) . Next to the tall structures stored in a similar structure would be the storage batteries.
